About

Hi, I am Becky, and I am so glad you are here.

A few years ago, my life changed in an instant when I was diagnosed with LADA (Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults), often referred to as Type 1.5 diabetes. My diagnosis sent me on a journey to learn more about my body, my health, and how to create a lifestyle that supports both.

The LADA Life was born from that journey.

This blog is where I share my experiences navigating life with diabetes, balancing hormones, improving metabolic health, and creating sustainable wellness habits that fit into real life. You will find practical tips, simple recipes, product reviews, healthy living strategies, and honest conversations about the challenges and victories that come with taking control of your health. Over the years, I have learned that wellness is about so much more than the number on the scale. It is about having energy to enjoy life, sleeping well, feeling confident in your own skin, and creating habits that support long-term health.

As a Hugh and Grace Senior Advocate, I am passionate about helping women reduce their toxic load, support hormone health, and feel their best through simple, sustainable changes. I share what has worked for me, what I am still learning, and the tools that have helped me along the way. Most importantly, I believe wellness is not about perfection. It is about progress, consistency, and making choices that help you feel stronger, healthier, and more confident each day.

Whether you are managing diabetes, navigating midlife changes, looking to improve your health, or simply searching for encouragement, I hope you find inspiration, practical tools, and a supportive community here.

Welcome to The LADA Life.

I am excited to walk this journey with you.
